Meet the Photographer
Tammy was born and raised in Houston, Texas, and grew up with a camera in hand. In college, she trained in the studio and in the darkroom, learning to create and develop her own artistic imagery, then applied that knowledge to refining her craft for more than two decades. She finally made the move to the woods of Maine in an effort to pursue a more authentic lifestyle for her family, where she began working as a professional photographer in 2009.
In addition to providing clients with fine artistic portraiture focused on families, weddings and events, Tammy is a nature/landscape photographer. She has contributed to Lancaster Farming, Bangor Daily News, Houlton Pioneer Times, and recently had her work added to the Historic files of the Maine National Guard. She began teaching photography classes at Washington County Community College in 2012 and is now teaching classes in Houlton and Hodgdon, that include adults and middle school and high school students.
“My motto is: Capturing life, personality, attitude, essence! I strive to keep it fun and relaxed for my clients while providing fine art quality images that show WHO you are, WHAT you are and where you HEART is. I’m a wife, mother and Nani to a huge family I cherish. I bring the same passion and experience I rely on in my daily home life when I join your family to capture memories of the moments and people you treasure. I look forward to helping you create something beautiful!”
